BKBF (Belgian Korean Business Forum)
ˇá BKBF – Belgian Korean Business Forum
With the recent election of President Roh Moo-hyun, taking power on the 25th of February, South Korea is facing new challenges but also offering fresh perspectives to foreign business communities and investors.
Supported by the Belgian Embassy, a group of Belgian and Korean businessmen has decided to bank on these new horizons to ˇ°re-activateˇ± the Belgian-Korean Business Forum (BKBF), an initiative aimed at stimulating business relationships between our two communities.
OBJECTIVES
This initiative offers to its future members the opportunity of exchanging ideas and experiences about business practices in Korea and a real support to those who are confronted with the realities of doing business in Koreaˇ¦or in Belgium! BKBF is aimed to enhance contacts between Belgian businessmen and people connected with Belgian companies.
ACTIVITIES
Many of you are already members of one of the reputed Chambers of Commerce or Business Associations in Korea. The BKBF is not an alternative to the activities of those highly respectable institutions. Instead, we wish to complement their efforts with practical actions focusing on the interests of the Belgian-Korean community, such as:
ˇ¤ Formal or informal meeting sessions with Senior Government officials from Korea and Belgium on specific issues, or with Belgian personalities visiting Korea,
ˇ¤ Support of Belgian Economic Missions in Korea, together with the Embassy of Belgium,
ˇ¤ Round tables and presentations of Belgian and Korean companies by its Top Manager
ˇ¤ Breakfasts, luncheon or diner meetings with guest-speakers
ˇ¤ Social and cultural activities aimed at reinforcing the cultural links between our communities
ˇ¤ Family entertainments and sport events
